I introduced alcohol ink to my daughter Devan and we started creating together. Our first pieces were on canvas, the art almost creates its self as the inks flow together. Wanting to expand the possibilities of the medium, I had gotten Some framed plain glass pieces at a secondhand store.
I wondered what the alcohol ink would look like on Glass. We were pleasantly surprised as we let it dry overnight the inks blended together providing a snowflake affect in areas and such a unique effect that we were instantly hooked.

We started finding used frames with glass to reuse and then turn into beautiful works of art. As time went on we were commissioned a concrete floor stain job at The Hungry Honu restaurant on the big island of Hawaii. We transformed the floor to an ocean finish. Upon completion after sharing our alcohol ink art on glass, We were asked to create a custom sneeze guard for them as well. creating a stunning as well as purposeful work of art for their commercial space.
Expanding into residential applications we were commissioned six windows on the bottom floor Of a B&B ranch on the big island Hawaii. The windows faced the carport creating a need for privacy. We created the art glass in place using the pallet of the surrounding landscapes as well as opaque gold. Providing privacy and art at the same time.
We are now involved in a high end private dinner club outdoor space creating a custom Wayne’s coat with 3’x2’x1/4 “ Alcohol ink Glass Art panels installed in a frame created for the glass panels, bringing the colors of the sunset and the Hawaiian landscape to life. The possibilities are endless and we welcome the opportunities art Glass provides, and are honored to have discovered this technique to share with our clients.
